Changes to your plan
At Sterling, we're committed to quality and always strive to provide you with a first-class service. Here we explain how to make the most of the services we provide.

Changing or starting regular payments (ISA and Investment account only)
You can start or change regular payments at any time (subject to the HM Revenue & Customs limits for ISAs). All we need is a letter from you confirming the new amount and when it is to start from. For more details about regular payments visit the relevant product page.

To start regular payments or change the bank account from which you pay the direct debit, we need you to complete a new direct debit mandate. Call us and we'll send you a new mandate.

We'll write and let you know we've made the change.

Additional lump sum payments
You can make one-off lump sum payments at any time (subject to the HM Revenue & Customs limits for ISAs). Just send us a cheque made payable to 'Sterling'. The minimum additional lump sum investment is £1000.

We'll write and let you know we've received your cheque.

Changing your fund choice (except cash only ISA)
You can move your existing investment from its current fund range and redirect future regular payments into different funds. Just download a
fund switch form and send a completed copy to us. We do not currently charge for fund switches, although we reserve the right to charge for excessively frequent fund switches and the new fund manager may impose an initial charge. Please refer to your Terms and Conditions for more information and speak to your adviser.

We'll confirm your new fund choice in writing.

Making withdrawals
You can make one-off withdrawals at any time. All we need from you is a completed surrender form, which you can either obtain from your financial adviser or by contacting us directly on 0870 909 6010. We will post a cheque to your home address or alternatively, in some circumstances, we may be able to make a payment direct to your bank account by the Banking Automated Clearing System (BACS); let us know your bank sort code and account number on the form.

Please always refer to the Terms and Conditions of your policy as there may be exit penalties for taking one-off withdrawals.

We may need further supporting documents to make a payment such as Trust Forms, Power of Attorney Forms or Identification documents depending on your policy.

We will write to you confirming when the withdrawal has been paid.

Please note, before making any changes to your plan, we strongly recommend you speak to your adviser as neither Sterling or its staff are authorised to give financial advice.
